“ Cerridwen” As the Dark Mother

Cerridwen is depicted here as the Dark Mother. She wears leather sandals and black cotton clothing that is wired to look as if it is being blown in the wind. Cerridwen carries a sculpted lamp of knowledge with an Apoxie snake, as she leans on a cane with a raven head (also sculpted of Apoxie). Dead leaves complete the scene  15 inches in height                                                                         

Her head, hands and feet are sculpted of polymer clay that has been hand-painted with meticulous detail in fine acrylic paint.  The fabric body has been needle sculpted over a wire armature. She has a wool wig and a solid wood stand.
