“Bob Cotton”

A one-of-a-kind original sculpture by Cheryl Bollenbach.

Bob stands in his pajamas and robe made of vintage cotton fabrics. His outfit was designed and hand sewn by the artist. He holds a glass pill bottle in his right hand. Not one person who has ever opened a bottle of pills has not been baffled at the amount of cotton packing that can come out of the bottle. We wonder what in the world we paid for! Bob’s look of exasperation could represent any of us as we pull the seemingly unending wad of cotton out of our medicine bottles. His vibrant blue fuzzy slippers and wire rim glasses (also created by the artist) complete his outfit. Bob stands 16.5 inches high (not counting stand). His head, hands and feet are sculpted of polymer clay that has been hand-painted with meticulous detail in fine acrylic paint. Bob has a fabric body that has been needle sculpted over a wire armature. He has a wool wig and a solid wood stand.
